... that Ben Stiller is the son of comedians Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara. Jerry is best know for his role as Frank Costanza on Seinfeld. But he has also appeared in many of Ben Stiller's movies, including Zoolander (pictured here.) His mother, Anne Meara, is a well-known character actress probably best known from her portrayal of Mrs. Sherwood the English teacher in the movie Fame.
... that Ben Stiller directed the Jim Carrey comedy The Cable Guy. He also appeared in the movie as the murderer who's story is being played out on TV through-out the course of the movie. Visit our Tribute to Jim Carrey.
... that Ben Stiller was a writer and a featured cast member on Saturday Night Live for one season only in 1989. He left after only five shows when he found out that we wasn't going to be able to direct as many short comedy films as he wanted.
